Litecoin Mining With CPU

Here is a complete guide to start mining litecoins with CPU, from scratch.
!!This guide is for people who have at least basic knowledge about Litecoin or Bitcoin.!!

THINGS REQUIRED

1. Litecoin wallet which has mining option in it. Download here. (Download by clicking File>download), MIRROR!
2. minerd  (Download by clicking File>download)

So here we start

After downloading both the above files

First extract the litecoin-0.6.3c-win32.zip file

So you will get a folder named litecoin-0.6.3c-win32

Now extract the contents in minerd.zip file into this litecoin wallet folder.

After this your  litecoin-0.6.3c-win32 Folder should look like this:

With this you are ready with your miner.

Next step is to set up the pool

The pool I'am using here is lite.coin-pool. It is recomended to do pool mining other than solo mining, since it is easy for you to find a block in pool while CPU mining litecoin.

So go to lite.coin-pool and create your account.

After creating your account go to the workers tab and create your worker (username.workername)

With this you are almost ready

Now start your litecoin wallet and go to miner tab.
In that select pool mining instead of solo mining.
Now input the server address (http://lite.coin-pool.com).
In port number enter 8339
In worker name input the name of the worker you created in lite.coin-pool (yourusername.workername).
Now enter the workers password

With this every thing is ready. Click START MINING.
If you have done everything as i said. Your miner will start mining litecoins for you
